McWilliams v. Southern California Edison
McWilliams v. Southern California Edison
Millwrights Paid More Than $1 Million for Rotator Cuff Tears
John McWilliams and Cornelius Ramsey were working as millwrights within an Edison plant when a turban exploded. The force hurled the men more than 20 feet through the air. Both sustained rotator cuff tears, as well as other assorted injuries, which precluded them from returning to their work as millwrights; work which is extraordinarily heavy.
Biren Law Group established that the plant and equipment were designed and constructed without adequate secondary safety features. As a result, when the turban over pressurized, there was no safety valve to relieve the excess pressure.
The cases settled for more than $1 million.
