A high school student was riding a portable ride at a carnival staged in a local parking lot. She flew out of the ride because the volunteer rider failed to properly connect her, causing her to land on her head. She sustained a closed head injury, which impeded her ability to perform in school and work. Our team was able to prove that the company that staged the carnival had a defective ride and did not properly train the ride operators.
