Andrew G.O. Biren obtained a $585,000 settlement on behalf of a 90+ year old Plaintiff who sustained a fractured and dislocated dominant right arm, broken nose, lacerated liver, and concussion when the defendant driver employed by defendant Elder Transport Company ran a red light and collided with another vehicle at 40 miles-per-hour. Time was of the essence because Plaintiff suffered from a number of serious terminal unrelated comorbidities which would have denied her family the opportunity to recover for the serious injuries she sustained in the incident had she passed away before the conclusion of the case. Defense counsel’s main defense was to stall the case in hopes that the Plaintiff passed away before the conclusion of the case. Fortunately, the Biren Law Group filed the lawsuit and convinced the court to grant a motion for preference to expedite litigation.
