Matthew B.F. Biren and John A. Roberts settled a case for almost $2 million for a car wash worker who had his foot severely mangled as a result of a missing safety cover meant to guard an opening in the car wash conveyor system. This recovery was against the prior owner of the car wash who sold the equipment with the cover missing and achieved despite the negligence of the employer who failed to make sure that the equipment was in a safe condition.
